I'm not an artist; in fact, I can't remember the last time I've picked up a pencil for anything other than writing. But I’ve been watching Wolfs Rain (my all time favorite anime aside from Sailor Moon) and got an itch to give sketching a try. Truthfully, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get anything remotely resembling a wolf. So when things started flowing, thirty minutes passed, and I ended up with my wolf sketch, I about cried I was so happy with it. I gave coloring it a try as well with Corel Paint Shop Pro XI. I cringed at the thought of shading so I kept it simple, with a few markings. I've decided to use this first sketch as a base for my future characters coloring.

I don't know how far I'll get with teaching myself how to draw on my own (and I've decided to not go to college this summer) but I'll upload everything I take a shot at. Even if it's not too pleasent. EEEK I'm just really amazed right now with my sketch... But knowing my luck, I'll not be able to get anything good the next time around.

Any who, I would really love to get critiques on my work. Seeing as I feel really happy with this sketch, I might continue trying this whole thing out…drawing that is.
